Resonance is a 6 x 60 min sci-fi drama series.
A mysterious object has been fought over for 1,000s of years. Those who have possessed it have wielded incredible power. Some have used it to build civilisations and push the boundaries of human achievement. Some have used it to crush armies and destroy their enemies.
The Object's origins are unknown. But its effect resonates through history. Nothing has been seen of it for 60 years. Until today. Now secret and ancient societies will stop at nothing to secure it. No one can be trusted. No one is safe.
The battle to possess it will spill onto our streets and the lives of those who cross paths with it will be altered forever.
Series one moves from today's Britain to the dark days of World War II.
Our heroes must wrestle with tough moral choices, grapple with terrifying revelations about themselves and the world around them. Ultimately each will pay a price in this hidden war for the future of mankind.
Interweaving multiple characters, timelines and locations to create a complex, absorbing thriller.
You will have lots of ways to engage in the action and decipher the puzzles - TV, online, mobile, graphic novels and games.
Aidan Turner as TT
TT is a legend of the streets. His extraordinary physical abilities have made him a valuable ally to the vulnerable and the weak when they have faced desperate odds. But there are others who want to exploit his skills for their own ends.
Aidan Turner has starred in The Tudors and Desperate Romantics. He is best known for his role as the vampire Mitchell in the cult BBC3 supernatural series Being Human.
Nikki Amuka-Bird as K
K has spent her life believing her father was a traitor to his adopted county who committed suicide in prison. When she uncovers new information about his death and her employer's involvement she has to make the hardest decision of her life.
Nikki has starred in Five Days, Torchwood and Survivors and recently appeared at the National Theatre in Welcome to Thebes.
Ruta Gedmintas as Anita Skansen
Anita is a member of an internet community called the Idris Collective which blogs about conspiracy theory and secret organisations. She has become obsessive in her quest to uncover the truth about an event in her past. When she learns the incredible facts behind the smokescreen, she has to decide if the rest of the world is ready to hear them too.
Ruta has appeared in The Tudors, Spooks: Code 9 and recent BBC3 hit series Lip Service.
Charles Dance as The Dark Man
The Dark Man was a banker in the city but rejected it all and now prefers to work outside the system. He acts as a conduit for those who might want to employ TT's skills. Can he be trusted?
Charles has appeared in numerous stage, television and film productions including Gosford Park, Bleak House and The Jewel in the Crown.
Director: Colin Teague
Colin is an established television and film director.
His work includes Doctor Who, Torchwood and The Sarah Jane Adventures. He is also lead director on Series 2 & 3 of the cult BBC3 series Being Human.
In May 2010 Colin was part of the team nominated for a Best Drama Series BAFTA for the show.

Augmented reality games using GPS-enabled mobile phones will let you immerse yourself in a deeper experience. Crack the codes. Solve the puzzles. You might even meet a character from the series on the way.

A key element in the Resonance experience. You'll be able to download the tracks. Watch the music performed at live venues. Catch specially edited sequences.
GRAPHIC NOVELS
We have already released "The Prologue" a 12 page novella by respected graphic artist Anthony Hope-Smith. More books and storylines will run in parallel with the series.
ANIMATED SERIES
This will expand on the characters' lives and the history of The Object. Plus offer facts and clues about the wider Resonance universe.
Resonance is being made in a different way.
Sometimes additional content like websites and games are added on at the end of the line and purely for promotion. We've developed our multi-platform experience as part of the whole production process. This will expand and reward you with more stories about the characters and help with deciphering the clues.
We're also developing something called "open source narrative." This is a narrative framework which includes characters and plot points that allows our audience to create their own scenes. These scenes will form part of the overall Resonance story. Some of this user-generated content may even appear in the series itself.
A core value of the production is engaging its audience in learning more about the world we live in. We're working with universities, schools and colleges to see how we can inspire learning.
A TV series is usually filmed in one block and one series at a time. The making of Resonance is modular. So far we've made a 6 min pilot and you'll be able to see it soon right here. The next stage is to make a full episode and then series 1. This allows us great flexibility and scope for creative development as well as being able to respond to your feedback.
We've already developed more than one series of Resonance but, unlike some other dramas, ours has a clear and definable conclusion.
TV production is usually done behind closed doors. We're developing a process that will allow the audience a chance to take a real part in the making of the series.

Welcome to the deeper world of Resonance
This is the beginning of a journey.
Be prepared.
The eyes of the world will be on London in 2012. This is why we have decided to have our show coinciding with the Olympics. The Olympics is a celebration of human achievement. We are able to train ourselves to consider phenomenal ability natural. The 4 minute mile seems an absurd milestone now that hundreds and thousands of people break it every year.
When we think about what enables us to reach the pinnacle of achievement its hard not to think of the great Roy Castle. Dedication is indeed what we need! Obviously its not all about being the best and beating the rest but, what we want to highlight with our actions on this project is that you do need to try really hard to make the best things happen. Practice does indeed tend to perfection.
